Tea leaf reading also known as Tasseography is an ancient practice interpreting patterns made by tea leaves in the cup. It uses the symbols and the patterns formed by the residue of tea as a means of telling one’s fortune/future. Many believe tea reading originated in China and that present by tea leaf reading is thought to have originated in Asia, the Middle East and Ancient Greece.
